Frequently Asked Questions
1) I do not have enough room in my
yard for delivery. What are my options?
We can send our
crew to your yard and construct your building on site. We will carry
the materials into your yard piece by piece and assemble your storage
building. We charge an additional $150 for this service.
2) Do I need a permit?
Permitting requirements
vary depending on where you live. If you are a resident in the City
of Ft. Walton Beach, permits are required for all sizes. If you reside
in Okaloosa County, any buildings over 200 square feet must be permitted.
Walton County and Santa Rosa County request permits for buildings over
250 square feet.
3) Do I pull the permit?
No. Advantage
Portable Buildings will pull the permit for you. We do not charge for
this service, but the permit fee is the responsibility of the customer.
4) What are my set backs?
Again, set back
vary depending on the size, city and any easements that may be present
on your property. Set backs for buildings under 200 square feet are
usually only 3' 6" off the property lines. Buildings greater then 200
square feet have set backs starting at 5' 6". All buildings must comply
with state code and be set up at least 10' away from the house.
5) What do I need to do to my yard
to prepare for delivery?
Bushes, trees
and limbs must be cleared from the area. No work on leveling the ground
is required. The buildings will be leveled and with 4" solid concrete
blocks. Much like you would see with a mobile home.
6) How do I apply for credit?
You may stop
by the office or request an application be faxed to you. Credit inquires
will originate here, in order to insure interest rates (where applicable)
are locked in.
7) Do I have a choice of colors?
Yes. We have
25 different colors for siding and trim available.
